Sebastião Casqueiro, natural de Serpa, nasceu em 1811 era filho do Capitão-Mor António Cortez Bermeo de Lobão e de D. Joana Francisca Hipolita Vieira. Desempenhou cargos nas instituições de poder local em Serpa. Andou fugido em Espanha com dois dos seus irmãos (António e João Maria) depois do seu pai ter sido detido em Maio de 1828. So regressaram em 1833 a Serpa. Morreu solteiro sem descendência em 1837.
